M-STEN Core Labs is an anabolic androgenic product based on 2,17a-dimethyl-17b-hydroxy-5a-androst-1-en-3-one, a substance commonly known as Methylstenbolone, M-Sten or Ultradol, which is double methylated a compound structurally similar to 5α-dihydrotestosterone (DHT).

Actions 2, 17a-dimethyl-17b-hydroxy-5a-androst-1-en-3-one are primarily seen in strong binding to SHBG-sex hormone-binding globulins, including testosterone and estradiol. SHBG is responsible for the survival and transport of bound hormones and the regulation of their activity in the body. The view is maintained that bound hormones do not show greater activity. Hence, 17a-dimethyl-17b-hydroxy-5a-androst-1-en-3-one, occupying SHBG, reduces their ability to bind free hormones, and thus increases the availability of free testosterone and its anabolic power.
