Forskolin is an ingredient well known for it’s ability to increase cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), which activates protein kinase A (PKA). It also mediates several cellular responses in the body, including increases in testosterone and the breakdown of glycogen and fat. Of course, we use the highest quality of forskolin, ForsLean® 95%, in our Premium Essential at an effective yet well tolerated dose of 50 mg to realize these benefits.

In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of 30 overweight males, oral ingestion of forskolin, 250mg of 10% forskolin extract twice a day, for a 12-week period elicited positive changes in body composition while concurrently increasing bone mass and serum free testosterone levels.

A separate study analyzing human prostate cells concluded that the androgen receptor can be activated by a protein kinase A activator, forskolin. This study indicates forskolin will enhance the utilization of testosterone since it activates the receptor sites in which testosterone molecules bind into.
