Citicoline / CDP-choline (cytidine-5'diphosphocholine) - a naturally occurring, endogenous precursor of phosphatidylcholine - a basic cellulite phospholipid builder. Upon delivery to the body, it hydrolyses to cytidine and choline, which easily penetrate the blood-brain barrier, and play an important role in the synthesis and regeneration of membranes of nerve cells, nucleic acids and many important proteins. Cytocline is also a powerful substrate for the synthesis of acetylcholine, thereby enhancing cognitive function and working memory.
